SILVER SPRING TRANSIT CENTER
In 2009, Daniel was contracted by Folger Pratt to take part in the Silver Spring Transit Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. The transit center is largely concrete and steel, and Daniel’s package is the steel. The biggest part of Daniel’s contract is two large pipe trusses that wrap an escalator and stair.
THE AVALON BUILDINGS 5000, 6000, 3900. 3975, 4920, AND 700
Daniel Iron is underway with a large scale mixed use development with Hoar Construction in Alpharetta, GA. Daniel is doing all the steel components of 5 buildings including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, egress stairs, monumental stairs, railings, and ornamental metals.
Avalon 8000
Avalon 8000 was a 10 story concrete office building where Daniel did the structural steel package. Daniel’s scoep of work included some hang down framing on the first floor, stair chase beams and elevator steel up the entire buidling,
VA ANNEX AND PARKING DECK
Daniel Iron recently completed a very successful project with BL Harbert in downtown Birmingham called the VA Annex and Parking Garage.
Univ. of Alabama: Ferguson Center Renovation
In 2013, Daniel Iron went to contract with BL Harbert for the Ferguson Center Renovation at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The large scale renovation project came with a very aggressive schedule, and Daniel is playing a large role in keeping the project on track.
UAB GARDENDALE
Daniel Iron recently helped Brasfield and Gorrie with the Structural Framing and Miscellanous Metals in the new UAB Medical Office Building and Free Standing Emergency Dept. as seen in the pictures below.
ST. STEPHENS EPISCOPAL CHURCH
In 2013 Daniel Iron completed a 75 ton structural and miscellaneous metals job with BL Harbert called St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Daniel partnered with GT Steel Erectors for the installation of the structural steel, joist, and deck. See below for some pictures of the project.
Regions Field
Late in 2012 Daniel Iron went into contract with Robins and Morton to provide all of the structural steel for the outfield buildings. As the project schedule compressed, Daniel was also called into to perform numerous other fabrications including the canopy under the scoreboard called the “Home Run Porch” as well as some other railings and numerous other odds and ends.
