Daniel Iron recently completed work on a three story office building off of Highway 280 for Brasfield and Gorrie. Daniel Iron exceeded expectations by hitting an aggressive 8-week schedule while dealing with an incredibly tight jobsite and zero lay down space. The 300 ton building turned out great.
Indian Springs School Phase 1
Daniel Iron is under contract with BL Harbert to do the structural steel, miscellnaoues, and ornamental metals on 6 total buildings at Indian Springs School near Pelham, AL. The roof structures are very complex with nearly 30 total moment welds per building, a number of “split T’s” and portions of the structures are AESS. Daniel also is doing wire mesh railings and large “board walks” in the site package. See below for some in progress photos of the project.

Grandview Medical Complex
Daniel Iron is in progress on 3 seperate contracts with Brasfield and Gorrie at the new Grandview Medical Complex on highway 280 where Trinity Medical will soon be moving. Daniel is handling every piece of steel on all three projects: new CIP parking deck, new MOB, and the rennovation to the old Healthsouth Hospital. This is a large scale project, spread out over various concurrent tasks, and Daniel has met every expectation.
Grand Bohemian Hotel
Daniel Iron recently completed the steel package on a high end hotel with Robins and Morton called the Grand Bohemian in downtown Mountain Brook. The project went incredibly well and Daniel played a large role in value engineering to help get the project to budget while not sacrificing quality. Stay tuned for some pictures of the finished product once the hotel opens.
Federal Reserve Renovation
Daniel Iron recently completed another challenging rennovation, this time with Hoar Construction. Daniel provided all of the steel needed to renovate the Federal Reserve Building in downtown including new guard rails on all existing stairs, and new 3 story stair inside the existing buildlng, new acoustical metal roof deck on top of the “FRB”, a canopy, several areas of steel infill framing, and the ornamental railings at the entrance among other miscellaneous items. The clear coat finish on the railings turned out great.
Dexter Mixed Use
In 2016 Daniel Iron began work with Brasfield and Gorrie on a monster historic rennovation in downtown Montgomery. In an incredibly complex steel package, Daniel has put nearly 400 tons of steel into, beside, and on top of a 100+ year old Kress Building including an extensive amount of miscellaneous metals typically required of rennovations. Daniel brought an immense amount of value to the project in field dimensioning the as built conditions to ensure every piece of steel fit. The project is transforming the heart of Montgomery and the mixed use facility will be open late 2017.
